Fiesta de la Familia
Fort Steilacoom Park | September 7
Enjoy food, live entertainment, an art show, hands-on crafts, and more in this community celebration, including a children’s parade at Fort Steilacoom Park at 8714 87th Ave SW in Lakewood!
Touch-A-Truck
Spanaway Park | September 7
Families are invited to explore and investigate trucks of all sorts, from fire engines to military vehicles. While the event takes place from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., a special, no-horns time will also be taking place from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. This event will be taking place in Spanaway Park, which is at 1000 Military Road South in Spanaway.
Soul Food Festival
Tacoma Armory | September 8
Join the Black Night Market for an afternoon and evening of live music, performances, tasty food, and much more at this outdoor street fair! This event will take place between 10th and 11th Yakima Ave in Tacoma from 12 – 6 p.m.
Tacoma Moon Festival
Chinese Reconciliation Park | September 14
The Tacoma Moon Festival is an annual event taking place in Chinese Reconciliation Park at 1741 N. Shuster Parkway in Tacoma from 1 – 7 p.m., and will feature live dance and music performances, artists, local food and drink, fun activities for children and youth, and engaging historical tours of the park.
Tacoma HONK! Fest
McKinley Hill | September 14
The annual HONK! Fest is a community music festival featuring tons of local bands and groups – but rather than a formal stage, these artists will be marching and dancing with the audience. Visitors are also encouraged to bring their own instruments and noisemakers to join in on the fun, too! The festival will be taking place from 1 – 5 p.m. at the McKinley Hill Business District in Parkland.
Korean ChuSeok Festival in Tacoma
Mt. Tahoma High School | September 14
Check out these celebrations of culture from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. as the Asia Pacific Cultural Center celebrates a traditional Korean holiday! The first event will see the community coming together for Korean food, art, dance, and more at Mt. Tahoma High School at 4634 S 74 St. in Tacoma.
Korean ChuSeok Festival in Gig Harbor
Skansie Brothers Park and Netshed | September 21
Check out this celebration of culture from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. as the Asia Pacific Cultural Center celebrates a traditional Korean holiday! For this event, the community will be coming together for Korean food, art, dance, and more at Skansie Brothers Park and Netshed at 3211 Harborview Dr. in Gig Harbor.
