Motors and Movies at America’s Car Museum
Haub Family Field | September 1
The LeMay Car Museum will be hosting their Motors and Movies series, where families are invited to get dinner at our picnic concessions and watch the film from either their car or from a blanket on the grass! The film shown will be Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, beginning at sunset! While the event itself will be family friendly and open to all ages, please keep in mind that the film is rated PG-13. The show will be taking place at LeMay – America’s Car Museum, 2702 E D St in Tacoma. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. for fun and games before the event, which will end at 11:30 p.m.
Tacoma Moon Festival
Chinese Reconciliation Park | September 9
The Tacoma Moon Festival is an annual event taking place in Chinese Reconciliation Park at 1741 N. Shuster Parkway in Tacoma from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., and will feature live dance and music performances, artists, local food and drink, fun activities for children and youth, and engaging historical tours of the park.
Touch-A-Truck
Spanaway Park | September 9
Families are invited to explore and investigate trucks of all sorts, from fire engines to military vehicles. While the event takes place from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., a special, no-horns time will also be taking place from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. This event will be taking place in Spanaway Park, which is at 1000 Military Road South in Spanaway.
Cruise-In with America’s Car Museum
Anderson Plaza | September 14
Motor-lovers of all ages are invited to bring their vehicles or simply enjoy eating food and listening to music as they browse the many cars and motorcycles on display! The event will be taking place from 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in front of the LeMay Car Museum at 2702 E D St in Tacoma.
Fall Fantasy Faire’s Magical Marketplace
Crescent Moon Gifts | September 16
Dress up in your favorite fantasy costume and enjoy fun performances like dancing, juggling, and even a fire circus! Dozens of local vendors will also be available to browse and shop from at this indoor and outdoor market located at Crescent Moon Gifts, at 6901 6th Ave in Tacoma from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Third Thursday Late Nights
Children’s Museum of Tacoma | September 21
Join us at the Children’s Museum of Tacoma as we stay open extra late! During this event, all of our playscapes will be open to the public until 8 p.m., and we’ll be hosting some fun, family-friendly games and activities at our location at 1501 Pacific Ave in Tacoma.
Korean Chuseok Festivals
Asia Pacific Cultural Center (Tacoma), Skansie Brothers Park and Netshed (Gig Harbor) | September 23 (Tacoma), 30 (Gig Harbor)
A celebration of culture from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. as the Asia Pacific Cultural Center celebrates a traditional Korean holiday. The community will be coming together for Korean food, art, dance, and more at the Asia Pacific Cultural Center at 4851 S. Tacoma Way. The following weekend will be celebrated in Gig Harbor, at Skansie Brothers Park and Netshed at 3211 Harborview Dr.
Market on the Marina
Waterfront Venue at the Narrows Marina | September 24
This Market overlooking the Narrows Marina will showcase local small businesses and activities for kids! The Market will be taking place from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Waterfront Venue at the Narrows Marina in Tacoma, at 9007 S 19th St in Suite 250.
