We missed you at the Power of Play Lunch. Your support is the ingredient we need to make Pierce County the best place for children, youth, and families

We are grateful to welcome Andy Lloyd back to Tacoma, who shared his wisdom in cementing a child and youth-centered community. His work in Leeds, England proves that a community built to support young people is possible if all sectors of a city lean in and contribute to this critical work. Greentrike Executive Director Tanya Durand spoke about the successes of the Children’s Museum at JBLM and the importance that partnership played in creating the Museum, our growth into the K-12 education system with our Expanded Learning Opportunities, and our efforts to build a child and youth-centered Pierce County. Bringing it all together, our Honorary Chair Gloria Hunt shared firsthand her experiences as a Play to Learn volunteer and how every gift can make a difference.

Thanks to Greentrike’s generous supporters we’re happy to share that we are 70% toward meeting our goal and raised just over $80,000 to ensure that children and youth have a place in our community.
