Join teachers Shannon and Cheryl as we welcome the wintry season with an activity inspired by the classic picture-book The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. We’ll read, make, play, create, and do things together with kids and grownups across Pierce County! Sharing fun and ideas are some of the friendship skills we can still enjoy during this time of remote learning and playing through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) infused activities. Be sure to collect the following supplies to make this week’s activity: SNOW PAINT!
• Flour
• Salt
• Water
• Mixing container and spoon
• Measuring cup (recommend ~ 1/3 cup)
• Dark paper (example: blue)
• Stick or paintbrush
• Wipes or washcloth
• *Optional: glitter
