Event Series Event Series: Printmaking Studio Time

Let your creativity soar this October at the Children’s Museum of Tacoma during a playful printmaking studio time with artist in residence, Katie Dean. Learn how various found objects can create unique patterns for your very own masterpiece. Discover vibrant color combinations made by layering multiple colors on top of each other. The creative possibilities are endless!

Studio time is the perfect time for children to create works of art with their families and caregivers. All art supplies are provided for this workshop, and all Children’s Museum of Tacoma guests are welcome to attend. Workshops will take place at Becka’s Studio, located inside the Children’s Museum of Tacoma.

Tacoma artist and friend of the Museum, Katie Dean, will share more about the printmaking process in our studio. Katie Dean is an artist and printmaker known for her vibrant and unique color palette, and her linoleum block prints are influenced by her passion for nature and exploring open spaces. Learn more about Katie Dean and visit her open studio during Tacoma Arts Month to live block printing.
