VIP COCKTAIL HOUR: 5:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M
AUCTION AND DINNER: 6:30 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.
It’s time to celebrate like it’s 1985! You, our totally rad community, have supported the Museum for 35 years and we are so psyched to continue bringing play to the children of Tacoma and Pierce County because of you.
We want you to join us for a truly outrageous evening as we honor children and champion play.
New this year, you have the option to purchase a VIP ticket to the Cocktail Hour at the Children’s Museum of Tacoma. Sip some bubbly upon check-in, nibble some small bites and let your imagination soar as you stroll the playscapes, chance the raffle, and win some goods-all to elevate early learning. You can enjoy the signature drink and bid on items unique to the cocktail hour before heading over to the Convention Center.
The program officially begins at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center at 6:30 p.m. with a silent auction, games, Best of Live raffle and bar service. At 7:30 p.m. sit down to a locally sourced meal and philanthropic bidding to raise awareness on the importance of quality childhood experiences and sustain access to Museum programming.
You have a hand in ensuring every child in our community has the right to play. Play holds a natural and vital role for growth and well-being. Your partnership is vital to sustain our outreach services to the community within Pierce County.
Planning for the Gala:
The VIP Cocktail Hour begins at 5:00 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Convention Center. Parking is limited and Lyft or Uber is encouraged.
One frequently asked question is “what should I wear?” Most guests choose to wear cocktail attire in bright, fun colors. This year’s theme goes back to the Museum’s start in 1985. Think of the hair and neon of the 80’s. Look to movies like Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, or pop icons like Prince, Madonna and Cyndi Lauper for inspiration.
The party doesn’t have to end at 10 p.m.! Zeeks Pizza is generously donating 15% of all sales associated with our event back to Greentrike. They are staying open until midnight for a Gala after-party, but the donation of proceeds will be going on all day. Friends of Greentrike just have to mention The Children’s Museum or Greentrike to have a portion of their bill donated.
