Learn more about the unique challenges and opportunities for young children and families in our community at the Power of Play Events. Day 1 includes a panel discussion exploring how our community can provide high quality, playful learning experiences for all children in our community. Speakers include City of Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodards, Greentrike Executive Director Tanya Durand and Foundation for Tacoma Students Executive Director Tafona Ervin.

Has access to childcare been a challenge for your family or other you know? You aren’t alone. Pierce County, and the state as a whole, is experiencing a childcare crisis. Day 3 of the Power of Play Lunch includes a conversation about childcare with Tanya Durand and special guest.

Our world could use some peace right now. My family will be watching Day 2 of the Power of Play Events. Teacher Cheryl of the Play to Learn program and Kwabi Amoah-Forson from the Peace Bus (www.thepeacebus.org/) will engage in a child friendly conversation about peace and play.
